Welcome to Ms. English's Library Website!
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, MAY 22ND!!
Students who have all of their books turned in/ fines paid by Friday will be put into a drawing for posters and other prizes from this semester's Book Fair.
This week in library:
We are reading one of this years' battle of the books- "Snow White and the Seven Dorks" This book is a Reader's Theater, which means students will have parts that they will read like in a play. Students without a reading part helped make the sound effects. Afterward, students will all take the role of Costume Designer or Set Designer and create plans as if we were going to perform this RT.
Ask your students how this Reader's Theater version is different from the real story of Snow White!

Remember!
When choosing a book to read, don't just look at the cover. Open up the book and look at the words and at the pictures! Read the description or text excerpt to see if the book is about something that you're interested in! If you check out a chapter book, remember that you promised to read at least to chapter two!! Lots of books are a little boring in the first chapter, give it a chance! Books are your opportunity to travel all around the world- even to places that are in space! Let the book guide your imagination to places you never dreamed possible! |
